Creating a stylesheet in Expression Web
Article ID: KB101773
There are a few ways that you can create a stylesheet in Expression Web.
- Use one of the existing stylesheet templates that come with Expression
Web by going to File > New, selecting Style Sheets, and picking a stylesheet
from the available options.
- Go to File > New > CSS, which will create a new blank .css file.
- Create a New Style and define it in a "New style sheet."
- Click the "New Style" link in the Apply Styles or Manage Styles task
panes (or go to Format > New Style).
- In the New Style dialog box, there is a dropdown menu for "Define
in." Select "New style sheet."
- Define properties for your new style, then click OK.
- Expression Web will create the CSS for the new style within a new,
unsaved .css file. You can save the .css file and Expression Web will
also link the stylesheet to your web page for you.
After creating a stylesheet, you can
attach the stylesheet to your web pages so that you can use the styles. You
can then use the Manage Styles task pane to
organize the styles, rename them, etc.
