Can I edit my ProStores template in FrontPage?
It is recommended that any edits with a ProStores site be completed through the
ProStores design interface. Our templates are built to work with the ProStores system
and incorporate their proprietary store code. The files you receive from PixelMill
come with instructions for importing the appropriate images and .tpl file using
the ProStores interface.
The ProStores design interface helps protect the customer from making changes
that could adversely affect the site. ProStores code is very powerful and is the
basis to making ProStores an easy ecommerce system.
Technically edits can be made in DreamWeaver or FrontPage, but then that code
would need to be re-imported into the ProStores system. If you are not comfortable
with heavy HTML editing, you should not attempt this.
If you see a template and would like to have it converted to a ProStores template,
we will be happy to provide a quote for that conversion.
