Why can't I change the font-color-etc. in a Flash movie?
Article ID: KB101648
Question: Why can't I change the font/color/animation/etc. in a dynamic Flash movie?
I can change the text and/or image easily, why not the font/color/animation/etc.?
Answer: The developer probably used Macromedia Flash to
create the Flash movie. Macromedia Flash is a powerful (and expensive) program,
but because many web template customers don't have Flash, developers make it
easy for you to change the text and/or image. However, this convenience usually
will not extend to things like changing the font, text color, animation, etc., simply
because it's not practical or feasible to do so.
If you really want to change the font in a Flash movie, you should either 1) invest
in Macromedia Flash and edit the .fla source files (if provided) or 2) contact the
developer of the product and ask them to change the font for you. This may
require a custom work order as it is beyond what is provided with the template.
