Installing Your Products

With the variety of products offered in our store, installation will differ for different types of products. Below are some of the common ways to install or use our products.

FrontPage Products

  • Themes and Page Templates - FrontPage themes or templates will be downloaded in .exe format. In this case, you just have to download the .exe to your computer and double-click on it, then follow the prompts to install.
  • Web Templates
    • .exe format - Some FrontPage web templates may be in .exe format (or include an .exe). In this case, you'll have to download the .exe to your computer and double-click on it, then follow the prompts to install. Then you may open FrontPage to create a new web site.
    • .zip format - Some FrontPage web templates may be in .zip format. In this case, the Developer has simply zipped up the web folder along with supporting files. Download the .zip to your computer and extract it, then use FrontPage and go to Open > Web to open the web folder.
  • Dynamic Web Templates
    • .exe format - Some FrontPage DWTs may be in .exe format (or include an .exe). In this case, you'll have to download the .exe to your computer and double-click on it, then follow the prompts to install. Then you may open FrontPage to create a new web site.
    • .zip format - Some FrontPage web templates may be in .zip format. In this case, the Developer has simply zipped up the web folder along with supporting files. Download the .zip to your computer and extract it, then use FrontPage and go to Open > Web to open the web folder. Note that if a product only comes with a DWT Package and not a DWT Web Package, that the .zip will only include the files you need to add to an existing web site.

PowerPoint Products

  • .exe format - Some PowerPoint products may be in .exe format. Download the .exe to your computer and double-click on it, then follow the prompts to install. There will usually be instructions to tell you where and how you can access the template.
  • .zip format - Some PowerPoint products may be in .zip format. Download the .zip to your computer, then right-click on the .zip and extract it. You may need WinZip or WinRar for this operation if you do not already have a zip utility. Within the .zip will be the PowerPoint template file, which you may move to your own desired location on your computer and start using.

HTML Templates

  • .zip format - HTML templates are usually downloaded in .zip format. Right-click on the .zip and extract it. You may need WinZip or WinRar for this operation. Within the .zip will usually be a readme file that will then instruct you on what to do next.

Components

Components vary greatly, but will usually be in .zip format. Right-click on the .zip and extract it to see the instructions and access the files included with the component.

Images

  • Images may be in .zip format, in which case you will have to extract the .zip.
  • Images may also simply be in ..jpg format, ready to use on your web page or in an image editor.
