Using Shared Borders

Article ID: KB101588

Shared borders are content areas that may appear on several different pages of your web. You may insert content here that will appear on every page. You may choose between top, left, right, and bottom borders.
*Note: FrontPage does not allow you much control over how much space is between the border and the rest of the body content. You will need to try different things out until you get the result you want.

  1. With a page open in FrontPage, go to Format/Shared Borders.

  2. Check the borders you wish to apply. You may apply the border to all pages in your web or only to the current page.

  3. The border will appear in your page. Add content into the border and save. You may change the border from any page in your web [that has the border] and the changes will be applied to all other pages that use the border.
