Creating a New FrontPage Web

FrontPage offers a few different ways to create a new web site.

• Create a new web using a web template
  This is the easiest way to create a new web site. Users who are not experienced with creating their own web graphics or people who want to get a site up in the shortest amount of time possible will frequently choose this route. A pre-designed web template includes several "starter" pages as samples, all of which have the design and layout already in place. Users may then add more pages or delete the pages they don't use, and modify the pages with their own content.
• Create a new web using a page template
  If you have a FrontPage page template, you may use the page template to build your own web site.
• Create a new web from scratch
  FrontPage also allows you to create a web site from scratch, starting with blank pages. If you are an experienced designer, you may import your graphics and begin building the page layout. FrontPage does have tools to help the intermediate or beginning user to create a page layout, including the ability to set a "tracing image" - an image of the design temporarily set in the background so that you can line up your layout tables with the image.
