Import Components Into Frontpage
Article ID: KB101541
This tutorial is for the following types of components:
- Replacement image(s)
- Replacement Flash movies
Examples:
- Your web template has a graphic in the corner and you want
to replace it with another one of the same size.
- You want to replace an existing Flash movie file with your
own Flash movie file of the size dimension.
Requirements: The components must be of the same file type -- for
example, both gifs, both jpegs, or both swfs. Use an image editor to
convert your new image if necessary.
- Open Windows Explorer and browse to your new component.
- Rename the component so that it has exactly the same name as
the existing image. For example, if the image in the web
template is named "yourlogohere.gif," rename your new image to "yourlogohere.gif"
(making sure that the file types are the same).
- Now open your web in FrontPage. Click on the folder that
contains the old component (for example, on the images folder)
to select it.
- Go to File > Import.
- Click Add File.
- Browse to the location on your hard drive of your new
component . Click OK to add the file.
- FrontPage will ask you if you want to replace the existing
component . Click OK.
- You should see the component replace itself across the web.
