Opening a Web Site Live Off the Server

You can open your web site "live" off the server if your server has FrontPage extensions or Windows SharePoint Services.

  1. Go to File > Open Web (FP2002) or File > Open Site (FP2003 and Expression Web).
  2. Type in the URL of your web site (http://www.yoursite.com).
  3. Click Open.
  4. You may need to type in your username and password.
  5. FrontPage or Expression Web will open your web site off your server. Any changes that you make to the pages will directly affect the files on your server and show up "live."
