Six Steps to Your Web Site
Choose a design and purchase package
- Choose a pre-built DNA/PixelMill Design Template from the PixelMill catalog. Add it to your shopping cart and proceed through the check-out process.
- DNA will customize a PixelMill Design Template by integrating your organizations logo, color scheme, and contact information. This includes your approval of a visual mockup of the finished product before we place it into the maintenance system.
Freedom Consultation
- DNA representative will call within 24 hours of your purchase to confirm your order and explain our development process.
- DNA representative will collect all user information needed to setup your Freedom Account.
- After better understanding your website needs, a DNA representative can recommendations on features and services that may better assist you in achieving your website goals.
Client Template Approval
- DNA representative will email you a link where you can view a graphical mockup of the completed website.
- You can make up to two revisions to the design to make sure the final product is what you want it to look like. In an effort to keep pricing as low as possible, additional fees do apply for structural changes to design templates. All additional fees will be quoted prior to work beginning and will not be added without your signed consent.
- You will be asked to fax a signed "Final Design Approval Form" to DNA.
- DNA places Approved Design Template in Freedom and sets up your Freedom account.
Download Software and Start Entering Content!
- You will be sent an email notifying you that your website is complete and ready to download. The email includes your username, password, a link to our "Website Staging" area, and a link to our website where you can download your software.
- The "Website Staging" area is temporary web space where you will be able to develop your website without having to take your website live.
Training and Services
- Free Freedom online animated software training is available through our website 24 hours a day.
- If phone training, content development or content conversion services have been purchased, a DNA service representative will contact you to schedule a training appointment. If you didn’t purchase training, it can always be added.
Going Live!
- When you are ready to launch your website, simply contact DNA and customer service representative will reconfigure Freedom remotely to update to your live URL.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What operating systems do you support?
A: Platforms currently supported are Windows 98, 2000, XP and Mac OS X – Jaguar.
Q: Do I have to host my site with you?
A: No. We do offer hosting services, but you can host on any server with an FTP account. SFTP coming soon.
Q: What if I no longer want to use your service?
A: Once on your web sever your website exists as static HMTL format not dynamically delivered from a database. This means the website is very search engine friendly and you can walk away from our service with a website that can be updated in your favorite HTML editor like FrontPage® or Dreamweaver®.
Q: How much control do I have over the template?
A: Control over the template is given during the design phase. After it is in the system users are blocked from making changes to the template to insure consistency and professionalism. We are working on a Developer version that will allow Developers to make changes to the website Template, CSS, Navigation and more.
Q: Can I install Freedom on multiple computers?
A: Yes. A Freedom Service Representative can issue you as many accounts as you would like for an additional low monthly fee.
Q: Can I have multiple people with access to the website maintenance system?
A: Yes. Freedom is highly configurable. We have a number of base maintenance plans to suit about 90% of most maintenance needs. If we don’t have a plan that suits your needs we can usually create
a custom package that will.
