What is a SharePoint simpleCMS Template?

simpleCMS™ templates are special site templates for Windows SharePoint Services that allow you and your clients to make edits to content areas of the site from within the browser. Combining the professional graphic design of PixelMill templates with the power of a SharePoint driven CMS interface delivers an innovative CMS solution with immediate value.

How They Work:

Load the template as a site template to your Windows SharePoint Server site, create a new site using the site template and start editing. You and your clients can login and make edits to content areas of the site from within the browser. A copy of SharePoint Designer is recommended for the web site manager, but anyone with the right permissions can make most common changes without a web editor.

Common Questions

• Can I apply a simpleCMS template to an existing SharePoint site? No, a simpleCMS template is installed as a site template, so you must create a new site/subsite.
• Does this template include a SharePoint Skin or Masterpage Template that I can use on an existing SharePoint site? Many of our simpleCMS templates do have existing SharePoint Skins or Masterpage Templates that can be purchased at an additional cost. If you can't find it, contact us.

Do you like this template but don't need the included images?
We have to pay image license fees (normally 5% to 15% of the template price) for stock images included in our templates, but if you want this template and have your own images, or don't need the stock images provided, then why should you have to pay the image licensing fees? Below are template(s) that we have created with the licensed stock images provided in the base template replaced with placeholder images. All you need to do is replace the placeholder images with your images and you are set.
